Greetings to all of you in Metropolitan Community Churches and outposts throughout the world today. This is MCC's 40th Christmas as a movement and a denomination. At Christmas of 1968, no one could have imagined the world as it is today. No one could have imagined MCC churches and ministries stretched around the globe.
 
But this is who we are today. And I want to encourage you.

Welcome to the final edition of Reach for the 2008 calendar year.  We are so very grateful for all of the emails that we receive each month regarding this publication and how the contents affect your lives and ministries.  It is our prayer that as we journey towards the close of this year and reach towards the days of the coming year; that we will find new and exciting ways to bring to life celebrations, traditions, holidays and Holy days from around the world and around the corner.  On behalf of our entire team, we wish you a blessed Advent and a happy holiday season.

As we enter the 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse starting on the 25th November, the Joint Working Group calls on all South Africans to remember the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex victims of Gender Based Violence and Hate Crime at the same time as we remember all other victims of violence, abuse and prejudice in our country.
