| A message from Rev Nancy L. Wilson, Office of the MCC Moderator Dear MCC Friend: Greetings from Hannover, Germany, where the MCC Regional Conference is taking place this weekend. Today, I am pleased to report that Rev. Glenna Shepherd has been elected Elder for MCC Region 4 with more than two-thirds of the conference vote. Rev. Shepherd is a beloved church pastor, highly regarded leader, and dynamic visionary who is passionate about the future of MCC Region 4 across Europe, Africa and the Middle East and MCC's life-affirming, life-changing, life-saving message of Jesus' unconditional love for all people. She brings a strong commitment to further the goals of the MCC Strategic Plan, and is dedicated to strengthening churches across Region 4 as well as planting new churches in places where no MCC ministry yet exists. Both Rev. Shepherd's Region 4 office and residence will be located in London, England. As we celebrate Rev. Shepherd's new role as Regional Elder, I encourage all MCCers to send our love and prayers to the congregation at MCC Portland (Oregon), from which Rev. Shepherd recently resigned. Just a few days ago, a church leader at MCC Portland spoke for the congregation when he said, "I've felt such mixed feelings. We love her and wish she wasn't leaving; but we also know God is calling her to a new ministry and we are so happy about what her new work as Elder will mean to our denomination." We also send our deepest appreciation and prayers to Rev. Cecilia Eggleston, as she closes her dedicated service as the first Regional Elder of MCC Region 4, and prepares to open a new chapter of her life and ministry within MCC. Messages conveying your love, prayers and congratulations may be sent to Rev. Shepherd at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Grace and peace, The Rev. Nancy L. Wilson
