I pray that you are all having a beautiful and blessed week.
As promised the MCC AIDS Memorial project has continued in earnest for the last several weeks. It has been an incredible process. I feel that I now know MCC in a way I could never imagined before.
The stories of love, loss, and hope that people have submitted with their names are true testaments to the spiritual power moving in our communities and lives. Today I want to keep this message simple as the names speak for themselves. I am including in this message the list as it stands today. It is more than 1,000 names of our loved ones from around the world. I encourage you to take a moment to scroll through in prayer. I honor that this would not have been possible without each of you. I celebrate that MCC is faithful in our commitment to love one another through the most challenging of circumstances…even beyond the span of a human life. If other names come to your memory at any time, please don’t hesitate to share them. If there are particular pastors, friends, and loved ones that you feel might be able to remember others, feel free to share this list. These are our collective memories.
