Considerations Series: A Celtic Spirituality
From Creation to Resurrection: One of the gifts in being part of an inclusive faith community is the encouragement to find our own understandings while engaging Christian traditions and learning together. This is the purpose of our Considerations Series, offerings furthering our spiritual education and exploration. Following on from our Atonement/At Onement Session, we will have the next Considerations Series session on 29 April, Wednesday, 19h30, in the Zonnebloem College Chapel Hall. Rev. David Cooper, a distinguished Methodist clergyperson from Ireland, will facilitate a fascinating exploration of the journey from creation to resurrection, which lies at the heart of the Christian faith. Rev. David brings a wealth of Celtic knowledge and insight for illuminating the Way of Christ. The Celts, primarily the ancestral peoples of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England, developed a beautiful understanding of Christianity when the gospel first reached their shores. It was later assimilated into the Roman Church after centuries of practice. Celtic Christian understanding was and is deeply rooted in the natural life cycles of the earth.
